But when education and lifestyle strategies aren’t enough, we provide clear, trustworthy pathways to professional care.

We empower you to sleep intentionally and live exceptionally. But if persistent issues arise, we guide you confidently toward the care you need.

When You Might Need Specialist Support

You may benefit from seeing a medical or sleep specialist if:

  • Your sleep difficulties persist despite efforts to improve routine, habits, and sleep hygiene
  • You experience loud snoring, choking, or gasping during sleep
  • You feel excessively tired during the day, despite a full night’s sleep
  • You have trouble falling or staying asleep for more than 3 weeks
  • You fall asleep unintentionally during the day (e.g., at work, in meetings)
  • You wake up with headaches, a dry mouth, or confusion
  • You’ve gained significant weight, or struggle with mood, memory, or cognitive function
  • A family member notices irregular breathing or movement during your sleep


These symptoms may be signs of conditions such as:

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Chronic Insomnia
  • Restless Legs Syndrome
  • Narcolepsy
  • Parasomnias (e.g., sleepwalking, night terrors)

Your First Step: See Your GP

Your general practitioner (GP) is the gateway to specialist support. They can:

  • Assess your symptoms
  • Rule out underlying medical causes
  • Refer you to a certified sleep clinic or sleep physician
  • Recommend a sleep study (in-lab or at-home)


Many GPs also work with telehealth sleep specialists if in-person access is difficult.

Do You Need a Sleep Study?

If a serious condition is suspected, your GP may recommend a sleep study — a diagnostic test that measures:

  • Brain waves
  • Breathing and oxygen levels
  • Heart rate
  • Sleep stages and movements

Sleep studies may be conducted:

  • In a sleep clinic (overnight lab-based)
  • At home, using portable diagnostic devices


Many services are bulk-billed or partially covered by Medicare or private insurance.

Online Consultations Available

Many sleep professionals now offer telehealth services, allowing you to:

  • Discuss concerns
  • Receive referrals
  • Get treatment recommendations
